Mesopotamia and Egyptian Culture
Civilization is define as a relatively high level of ethnic and technological development; the stage of cultural development at which writing and keeping written records is attained. By using this definition, single can compare and contrast the many different traits that the Mesopotamian and Egyptian civilizations had. In inn to compare and contrast two cultures I plan to describe the views of paragons and beliefs, describe pieces of literature, and describe the architecture of both civilizations.
Mesopotamian faith was the first religion to ever be recorded. The Mesopotamian religion was polytheistic meaning they believed in multiple deities assembled into a pantheon of gods and goddesses, on with their own mythologies and rituals. They believed in four main gods, the highest of the 4 god was the sky-god An, the over-arching bowl of heaven. Next came Enlil who could either produce raging storms or act to help man. Nin-khursag was the earth goddess, and the 4th god was Enki, the urine god and patron of wisdom.



Mesopotamians believed that the institution was a flat disc, contact by a huge space, and above that heaven. They also believed that pee was everywhere and the universe was born from this enormous. Its easy to recognise how they believed in these 4 main gods based on the traits of the world. in all Mesopotamians believed in an afterlife that was a land below our world and it was believed that everyone went to after death, irrespective of social status or actions performed during life.
