During their studies of World War II and the Holocaust, the students of Whitwell learned of the massacre of sixer million Jews. They put forward the question, What is six million? Ive never seen six million (Paper Clips). This simple inquiry pin down off a series of events, one of which was the childrens acceptation of the composition clip as the symbol for the Jews killed in the expiry camps. Paper Clips, follows their three year journey of setting and realizing their finishing of amassing six million paper clips, one for each Jew murdered.

As a result, the students met and welcomed a group of death camp survivors.
